A Shared Horizon

This is a collaboration with my friend Yu Andoh at AndohAndohAndoh. After seeing his amazing creativity and artistic talent, I brought him the idea of making a spaceship watch case. We share a love for sci-fi and modern storytelling through art and toys, and luckly he said YES!

Originally we discussed inspirations from space movie pioneers from the 80's and 90's like the Millenium Falcon. Even though our case is a unique design,I think you can still see some influence in its features.

This also means that other sci-fi fans have approached us to use the case for their own imagination! Check out what others have done below.

Astral Core Paramaters

The Spacehip Hull (Case)

The distance from crown to the afterburners of the watch is deceptive at 47.5mm, but the lugs are tucked underneath the cockpit crown with a 42mm distance. Total width is only 38mm!

The Cockpit (Crown)

Feel confident you can see all the action with this 12 o'clock crown that is accessible equally left or right handed.

The Ignition Mounts (Lugs)

The front lugs are placed below the cockpit-crown, reducing the lug to lug distance to 42mm.

The Flight Path (Straps)

Design to sit on 22mm width strap, the strap looks like it's coming out from the spaceship's exhaust system as the afterburner! When paired with the lume, the effect is incredible! IMPORTANT: straps shown are NOT final

The Engine Room (Movement)

Powered by a Seiko NH series movement, providing a reliable 24 jewel engine moving at 6 beats per second

The Command Deck (Dial)

The unique dial is rem·i·nis·cent of the surface of many space constructs. Consistent "Time to L.U.M.E" , the dial is lumed extensively for readability in the dark cosmos.

Here is the original design, demonstrating many tiny differences between design to prototypes. From concept to design, this watch is all about the exploration of outer space.

Movement: NH 38

Lug Width / strap width: 22 mm

Water Resistance: 5 ATM

Crystals (front and back): Sapphire Crystals

Cockpit (crown) to the end of the ship: 47.5 mm

Body of the ship: 46mm

Height of crystal to bottom of front lugs: 15mm

Height of crystal to bottom of case back: 12 mm

Outer Lug-to-Lug distance: 38mm

Distance between spring bars: 37 mm

It will come split-color leather strap, but you can request a single configuration with a comment. The standard offering is a dark blue "space" buckle strap with the other half strap in light blue as an "afterburner trail".
